The Sketches Album Screening Party – just one of the events I’m cramming in before my visit to Australia in November for a possible Sketches album release tour…
I’m planning a Sketches Album party in October. But instead of a listening party, or a live concert, I’m going to throw a party at Kreuzberg’s legendary Filmkunstbar and screen all the videos (both released and never-before-seen) as a complete album… It’s just one of the events I’m cramming in before my visit to Australia in November for a possible Sketches album release tour…
14 performers (I’m one of them!). 3 rapid-fire sets each. 13 pop-up stages. Hijinks assured. Moabiter Musiktage on Turmstraße, Berlin – Saturday 14 September 4-6pm (and Sunday 15 September) – full details on the map above, and more over here.
A happy snap courtesy of Julian Nagano of the Berlin edition of The Ray Mann Three playing our first live show. The show was part of Berlin Music Week 2012 (or in English) which runs 5-9 September 2012. Thankya to everyone who came along and made the night such a blast – much love from Die Drei xx
In other news: here’s the hot-and-bothered write-up in the Berlin Music Week official guide.
The German edition of The Ray Mann Three will be unveiled at Berlin Music Week – just one of the events I’m cramming in before my visit to Australia in November for a possible Sketches album release tour…

“Er liebt sein Instrument – zärtlich zupft, streicht, drückt er seine Gitarre, verliert sich ganz in seiner Musik.”
[Google translate] “He loves his instrument – plucked tenderly, stroking, he pushes his guitar, all is lost in his music.”
Nordkurier reviewed my apparently autoerotically-charged solo show last weekend in Bugewitz, “the last village in Germany”. Full review right here…
Ray Mann is packing in 3 back-to-back performances, in various guises, on Berlin’s epic Fête de la Musique: a solo concert, as a guest vocalist with a Techno DJ in one of the city’s biggest dance parties, and then a more laid-back DJ set of his own…
Ray Mann makes his Switzerland debut at Zermatt Unplugged Festival 2012, alongside Ms Lauryn Hill, Amy MacDonald, Aloe Blacc, James Vincent McMorrow and Newton Faulkner.
Born in Sydney, to Egyptian parents, and now based in Berlin, independent soul musician Ray Mann has supported Al Green, Tori Amos, Jamie Lidell, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings and Roy Ayers, toured Australia and Japan, and is currently releasing his second album Sketches as an interactive, online project.
