Ray Mann brings his live music show and video art projections together for three very special nights in Sydney in June.

Fresh (we hope!) from his first-ever tour of Japan with The Ray Mann Three in May, Sydney’s troubadour of soul will return home to perform his music solo, alongside video art projections designed by Ray himself, in a series over three nights.

Adding another dimension to the “multimedia” part of the series, each show will be streamed live on NeonHearts TV.

Each night Ray will be joined by a different special guest (and their own visuals), in the intimate setting of Sin-é at Café Lounge, Surry Hills, Sydney:

This trio of shows is a sequel to The Ray Mann Three: Music & Art Show earlier this year, which combined The Ray Mann Three live music performance, printed pieces from Ray Mann: Art Exhibition, and live video projections designed by Ray, based on the distinct, organic, minimalist style which characterizes his art as well as his music.

The Ray Mann Three is all set to embark on our first-ever visit to Japan to play shows in May 2010.

It’s a short but action-packed visit: the boys will play shows at Greenroom Festival (which this year features local and international acts including Arrested Development and G-Love & Special Sauce) as well as a sideshow with compatriots Blue King Brown. This is the band’s first trip to Japan since the debut album, The Ray Mann Three, was released there last year (the first single, “Smile“, debuted in iTunes Japan’s top 10, outselling Rhianna).

The Ray Mann Three is set to support Melbourne deep funk & soul outfit The Bamboos for their ’4′ Album Launch at Manning Bar, Sydney Uni, Friday 7 May.
